Privacy policy
This describes what this website actually does with what you send it. Four forms collect personal data. Nothing else on the site collects anything.

Alpine Stampings runs this website. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data you send through it, and you are the Data Principal. This policy covers that data and nothing else.
Four forms collect personal data: the quotation request at the foot of the product and capability pages, the message form on the contact page, customer registration and vendor registration.
Using them is voluntary. Every telephone number and email address on this site works without a form, and the contact page lists them by department.
What each form collects
These are the fields exactly as each form labels them. Every form also records two technical items that no field asks for, and those are in the next section.

What the server records that no form field asks for
Two things are recorded with every submission we accept:
- IP address
The internet address your browser connected from, recorded in full alongside the submission.
- Browser identifier
The line your browser sends with every request, naming the browser and the operating system. We keep the first three hundred characters of it.
They are recorded for one reason: to tell a genuine enquiry from automated abuse. Neither is used to build a picture of you, neither goes to anyone outside the people handling your enquiry, and neither is shared with anybody else.
Two further checks run on every submission — a hidden field a person never sees and never fills in, and a check on how long the page was open before you pressed send. When either one rejects a submission, nothing at all is stored. The limit on how many submissions may come from one connection works from a one-way fingerprint of the address rather than from the address itself.
What we use it for
Three purposes, and there is no fourth:
- Answering an enquiry
Reading what you asked, coming back to you, and carrying on that conversation.
- Raising an account
Setting you up as a customer or a supplier on our books. That is what the two registration forms are for.
- Quoting a part
Working out what a part takes to tool and make, and sending you a price for it.
Our lawful basis, and your consent
We handle what you send on the basis of your consent, given for the purposes named above. This page is the notice that consent is given against, and it is linked beside the send button on every form.
Filling in a form is voluntary. Beyond the fields marked required you choose what to complete, and you can leave the page without sending anything. Nothing on this site is withheld from you for declining.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the address in the grievance section below. Withdrawing it stops us using what you sent from that point, and we will delete it on request. It does not unpick anything we did while the consent stood.
Where your submission goes, and who can read it
Each submission is written to our server and emailed to one desk. Which desk depends on the form, and on the contact form, on the department you pick.

The record on the server is written to a file and, where our database is set up, to a table as well. Both sit in a private area of the hosting account that is not part of the website: no web address serves them and no visitor can reach them.
Reading it is limited to the people who hold the mailbox it was sent to, and to whoever administers our hosting account. Nobody else at Alpine sees it as a matter of course, and nobody outside Alpine sees it at all.
Drawings and documents you upload
Your drawing is your property and the most sensitive thing this site handles. This is exactly what happens to it.
- What is accepted
.pdf, .dwg, .dxf, .step, .stp, .igs, .iges, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .zip — up to 10 MB.
- Where it is kept
In a directory of the hosting account that sits outside the website. No web address serves it. It cannot be reached by a browser, found by a search engine, or arrived at by guessing.
- What it is called
Not what you called it. Every file is renamed the moment it arrives, to the date, the form it came from and a random string. The name you gave it is recorded in the submission text and never appears on disk.
- Whether it is emailed
No. The notification email names the file and says it arrived. The file itself does not leave the server.
- Who sees it
The people handling enquiries at the address that form delivers to, and whoever administers the hosting account.
- Where else it goes
Nowhere. It is not passed to a third party, not uploaded to any outside service, and not used for anything but quoting and making the part you asked about.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send for one year from the day it reaches us. That covers the submission record, the notification email and any file you uploaded. After a year it is deleted.
You do not have to wait for the year. You can ask us to delete what you sent at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it — where it has become part of an order, an invoice or another record we have to hold.
Once a registration turns into a live account, the records that follow it — orders, invoices, despatch and delivery documents — are company records rather than website submissions. Those are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep them, and this policy is about the website.
Your rights
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the rights below over what you have sent us. All of them are used at the same address, and using them costs you nothing.
- Access
You can ask us what personal data of yours we hold, what we have done with it, and who we have shared it with.
- Correction
You can ask us to correct anything inaccurate or misleading, complete anything incomplete, and bring anything out of date up to date.
- Erasure
You can ask us to delete what you sent. We will, unless the Act or another law requires us to keep it.
- Grievance redressal
You can raise a complaint about how we have handled your data, and we have to answer it. The contact is named below.
- Nomination
You can nominate somebody else to use these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to act for yourself. Tell us who, in writing.
To use any of them, write to the address below. Please write from the email address you used on the form, or tell us which address you used, which form you sent and roughly when. We hold submissions by what is in them rather than under an account, so we need enough to find yours.
We will answer as quickly as we can, and within the time the Act requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we deal with your complaint, you may take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Other companies this site can reach
One, and only when you ask for it: Google Maps.
Both our addresses are shown with a map beside them. The map does not load when the page does. What you see first is a panel with a button on it, drawn by this site. Until you press that button your browser makes no request to Google from this site, and Google puts nothing in your browser.
When you press it, the map is loaded from Google inside the page. From that moment Google can see the internet address you are connecting from, can set its own cookies in your browser, and is told which page of this site you were reading. What Google then does with that is covered by Google's privacy policy and not by this one.
There are also plain text links to Google Maps beside each address. Those are ordinary links: they reach Google only if you click one, and they open in a new tab.
The address above every map is real text. You never have to load a map, or reach Google at all, to find out where we are.
Beyond that, this site loads nothing from anybody. The typefaces are served from our own server rather than from Google Fonts. There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no tracking script anywhere on this site — not on the forms and not on any other page. Nobody is told that you were here.
Cookies, and what is stored in your browser
This site sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for sessions.
One thing is stored in your browser and this is it: a value named alpine-theme, holding either light or dark. It remembers which colour theme you chose, so the next page does not flash the wrong one at you.
Your browser writes it, your browser keeps it, and it is never sent to our server. It holds nothing about you and cannot be used to recognise you. Clearing your browser's storage removes it, and the site works exactly the same without it.
If you load a map, Google may set cookies of its own at that point. That is the only way a cookie can appear from using this site.
What this policy does not cover
The careers page asks for a CV by email rather than through a form. That is ordinary email and not a website submission, so it is not described above — but the rights and the grievance contact on this page apply to it just the same.
Sites we link to are not ours, and what they do is covered by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top of this page is the date this text last changed.
It cannot go stale quietly. The wording of this policy and the list of fields every form collects are fingerprinted together, and that fingerprint is checked each time the site is built. Change a clause here, or add a field to any form, and the build fails until the date on this page is brought up with it.
